Bookings

A booking is not confirmed until credit card details have been received, or some other form of full payment made.
Payment by: Cash, Eftpos, Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard
Enquires welcome, but bookings must have credit card details for confirmation or pay cash deposit of 15%.

All On-Line bookings will be automatically charged at the time of making your booking and be processed within 24hrs please note the booking will only be confirmed once you recieve an email with your booking number and details of your stay.All other bookings your credit card will not be charged until your arrival or if you miss the cancellation deadline 24 hrs prior to booking date.
Please make sure to give us your correct email address to send you a confirmation or suggest alternatives if the room requested is not available.

Please also note we do ask that if you have a large group booking that you confirm numbers at least 2 days prior to your arrival.

Check out time is 10.30am

Check in time is from 2pm

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24hr cancellation policy – prior to the time of check in.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before arrival, full refund less admin fee of 10%. Cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival, no refund – 1 night’s accommodation minimum will be charged.

All group booking’s (10 or more people) require two weeks cancellation, as above Cancellations made more than 2 wks before arrival, a full refund less admin fee of 10%. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of arrival,  an admin fee of 10% and 1 night’s accommodation will be charged .

From December 22nd until January 5th we have a one week cancellation policy on everything.

In the case of a “no show” by reception closing one night’s accommodation will be charged to credit card. If you have not arrived by following morning, any further nights booked will be cancelled. No refund as room held for you.

When arriving by car, check in is before 8pm in the summer, and 7pm in the winter.

Guests:

Families are welcome, we do require that anyone under the age of 18 has a guardian.

Additional Information

Key deposit  is required at time of check in. Refunded on return of the keys at check-out.

Eviction:

Management reserve the right to ask you to leave for any of the following without refund for stay remaining:

Drunken or disruptive behavior,
Violence, threats of violence or Verbal abuse
Theft
Justified complaints about bad behavior
Possession of Drugs or Drug use
Willful damage to hostel property

Any damage to the room or property (including alcohol/smoking related damage) may be charged, plus a charge for any result in loss of income if applicable.

Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Backpackers. Guests who do smoke, may be also be charged alarm call out fees and any associated repairs in addition to the above mentioned costs.


Quoted Rates:

These rates apply to all reservations as quoted in association with these terms and conditions.

Rates are in New Zealand dollars and must be settled directly with Kina Backpackers in NZ dollars. All rates are inclusive of GST.

Kina Backpackers reserves the right to increase quoted rates.

Accommodation must be prepaid on check-in unless credit has been established with Kina Backpackers.

Complaints:

You can make a verbal complaint to the office or write / email the Owner  enquiries@kinabackpackers.co.nz or post to P.O.Box 55 Oneroa.  Any complaints will be dealt with swiftly so that your stay may be made more enjoyable here at Kina backpackers.
